A&P GROUP APPOINTS GERALD PITTS AS FALMOUTH LEAD
A&P Group’s Falmouth business has appointed Gerald Pitts as its new Managing Director.
Gerald joined A&P Group as an engineering apprentice in 1976 and held a variety of supervisory and senior managerial positions before his appointment as RFA Cluster Programme Director in 2008.
Gerald will now lead the business as it continues to build its reputation in the commercial and defence sectors as a global ship repairer.

CHRIS GUNN PROMOTED TO RFA CONTRACTS DIRECTOR
Global ship repair, conversion and marine specialist A&P Group has promoted Chris Gunn to the position of RFA Contracts Director.
A&P Group has a contract to maintain and provide global support for a ‘cluster’ of eight frontline RFA vessels from its Falmouth and Tyne yards and works hand in glove with the MOD from its Falmouth Cluster office.
Chris has responsibility for both the Cluster and UKCCATs contracts and is based in Falmouth. He joined the business in 1976, when it was known as Silley Cox &Co, as an electrical apprentice. He later went on to lead the pricing team for the successful RFA Cluster Contract tender in 2006 and revalidation of a second five-year contract extension in 2013. He moved into the post of RFA Cluster Contracts Manager in 2008 and was heavily involved in the tender for the UK Customisation, Capability Assessment Trials and Support (UKCCATS) of the new build Royal Fleet Auxiliary MARS tankers.
