MV “Ice Maiden1” was to be converted to an offshore flotel with platform maintenance facilities.

The main particulars of the converted vessel were to be:

• Accommodation for 399 personnel in single berth cabins.
• DP3 with Lloyds Register notation DP AAA.
• Six azimuthing and two tunnels thrusters.
• Additional Power Generation.
• New suite of navigation and communication equipment.
• Heating and ventilation for new accommodation block.
• Fire and gas detection system.

Nick Dargan and John Reid were appointed Administrators of  Silters Co. Limited on the 1st August 2008.

A&P Tyne Limited entered into an Agency Agreement with the Administrators on the 2nd February 2009, regarding the marketing and sale of the equipment.

The hull and steelwork have already been disposed of.
