A&P Tees has seen a busy couple of months; details of a selection projects during April/May below:

Vessel: Arco Arun (Dredger)
Customer: Hanson Aggregates Marine Ltd
Drydock and general repairs including:-

• deck plating,
• tank cleaning,
• tank steel repairs,
• installation of tanks,
• screen tower repairs,
• dredge equipment overhaul,
• discharge ram doubler replacement.

Vessel: Manu Pekka (Bank Hoe Dredger)
Customer: Boskalis
Drydock and general repairs including:-

• spud & housing steel repairs,
• spud equipment overhaul,
• excavator overhaul,
• painting and blasting.

Vessel: Ocean Supplier (OSV - Anchor Handling)
Customer: Oceanlink AS
Drydock and general repairs including:-

• tank repairs,
• wooden deck replacement,
• full blast ship,
• shaft & rudder withdrawal and overhaul,
• shaft generator maintenance.

24 April 2009: A&P Tyne - Pride of Dover

Vessel: Pride of Dover (Passenger RO-RO)
Customer: P&O Ferries Ltd
Docked at A&P Tyne on 24 April 2009. Pride of Dover will be at the yard for a 12 day period to carryout annual refit and survey and will provide security of employment for the existing workforce.
The project includes:-

• hull preparation and painting,
• seavalves overhauled,
• steel repairs,
• main auxiliary machinery survey,
• tank survey,
• safety survey,
• loadline survey,
• navigational equipment survey.

22 April 2009: A&P Tyne - UR101

Vessel: UR 101 (Deck Cargo Pontoon)
Customer: Ugland Marine Services AS
Drydock and general repairs including:

• blasting, preparation and painting of the hull,
• structural thickness checks,
• fabrication & installation of 18 tank drain plugs,
• installation of 26 new fenders,
• removal and replacement of deck equipment,
• various steel repairs.

• Hopper steel repairs,

• Installation of lub oil & dirty oil tanks,
• Kort Nozzle Repairs,
• Screen Towers,

Emergency drydocking for the draining & refilling of the propeller shaft hub.

Vessel: Yarm Cross (Tug)
Customer: Svitzer Marine Ltd
Drydock and general repairs including:

• Fluid drive coupling,
• Sea valves,
• Paint (underwater & topsides),
• Propeller Repair,
• Tank Repairs.

19 March 2009: SeaFrance Ferry arrives at A&P Tyne

SeaFrance Berlioz, Passenger RO-RO of SeaFrance docked at A&P Tyne on 19 March 2009. Dave Skentelbery said, “This is the first SeaFrance vessel to dock with A&P Tyne. We hope this leads to a long relationship between the two companies”

SeaFrance Berlioz will be at the yard for a 3 week period to carryout annual drydocking and refit work and will provide employment for 200 men during this period. The project includes:-

• main engine and auxiliary engine refurbishment,
• installation of an oily water separator,
• rudder refurbishment,
• minor steel work repairs,
• switchboard overhauls.
