Conversions

A&P Tyne recognise that major marine projects and conversions are a unique product separate from its Ship repair business. We are able to provide complete turn key projects from ship / platform sourcing through to delivery of the completed vessels.

The scope of marine projects undertaken by A&P include:

• Ship lengthenings and widenings
• Change of role – e.g. Cable to pipelay
• Mid life extensions, all aspects covered, steel, mechanical, electrical and outfit.
• FPSO conversions and upgrades
• Passenger vessel upgrades
• Procurement and outfit of new build hulls
• Subsea and topsides fabrications

A&P have the advantage of owning and operating a former ship building yard on the Tyne in the North East of England, this yard is capable of handling the most complex of marine projects and has a track record to demonstrate its success. For smaller less complex works we have our Tees and Falmouth yards.

Amongst our clients are Shell, AP Moller, Uk Ministry of Defence, Bluewater, De Beers Marine, Acergy, DOF and Subsea Seven to name but a few.
