Project Requirement: Barge Mobilisation for Offshore Wind Project
The Project: Major mobilisation of the 115 metre long Cable Enterprise at A&P North East’s Middlesbrough yard on the River Tees, ahead of the vessel undertaking work on the Gwynt y Mor offshore wind farm.
One of the most versatile of its type in the market, the barge is uniquely suited for the installation of a full range of subsea power cables.
Scope of Work: The mobilisation project for Global Marine Systems Energy Limited, the largest independent provider of submarine cable installation, maintenance and related engineering services in the world took place over a 110 day period.
Works on the project included; fitting of a carousel to the main deck and under deck stiffening along with fabrication and installation of a number of items including a forward cow catcher, bulwalk sections, A-Frame seats and plough carriage.
The Result: A successfully delivered project, this mobilisation is a further demonstration of the capability of A&P to deliver quality projects to its clients.

The complete work package was initially laid out on a general arrangement with changes to the arrangement emerging as the project progressed with class approvals & client requirements.”
