The Seajacks Kraken and Seajacks Leviathan are two state-of-the-art vessels, purpose built for installing and maintaining offshore wind turbines, and required mobilization for construction of a major offshore wind farm in the Irish Sea.
This required A&P Falmouth to pre-fabricate two 100 tonne blade racks and two 50 tonne support grillages for installation on the vessels.
During the 14 day mobilization period in Falmouth, both vessels were drydocked for maintenance and thruster overhaul in addition to the installation of the blade rack and grillage structures.
Both vessels were redelivered on time with good feedback from the customer.
Paul Hammond – Seajacks Marine Superintendent/Project Manager;
‘’The work progressed at a feverish pace with lively management meetings taking place each day. What was really impressive me was A&P’s attention to detail and determination by its managers and staff.
Seajacks UK would like to congratulate A&P Falmouth, all its managers and work force, for completing a significant project, on time and to very tight specifications.’’
