A&P Group Defence supports the defence maritime community across the globe with its dedicated division, headquartered at its A&P Falmouth facility.

We are looking for candidates with experience in Bid/Capture management and an understanding of the MoD (specifically the maritime sector Royal Navy / Royal Fleet Auxiliary). Previous experience working with the Royal Navy / Royal Fleet Auxiliary / DE&S is preferable.

The position will report the Managing Director - A&P Defence and work closely with the A&P Senior Management Team

Role Description / Purpose

• Support the Director of Defence in the management of all A&P Defence business capture and bid activity.

• Capture, manage and support defence related bids, adhering to A&P internal governance processes, ensuring that the bids are resourced and coordinated and that senior stakeholders have full visibility of bid progress.

• Maintain and implement A&P’s objectives for the Defence market in accordance with the Defence Strategy and Campaign Plan

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop relationships with MoD officials and other industry stakeholders.

• Manage the matrix-based list of MoD relationships.

• Manage and update the intelligence-based database regarding Defence opportunities directly related to A&P Group core activities.

• Develop and maintain Capture Plans for primary Defence opportunities.

• Management of internal and external Defence bid resource.

• Monitor progress against the bid programme.

• Manage Defence PQQ and ITN responses and clarifications in AWARD.

• Advise senior A&P stakeholders on dealing with UK government procurement regulations.

• Be fully conversant with and advise senior A&P stakeholders on compliance with the UK Government Security Classifications 2014.

• Produce Defence routine and reports in accordance with the A&P governance.

• Ensure that senior A&P stakeholders are kept informed of A&P’s UK defence market activity.

• Work as directed in support of the A&P Group Director of Defence.

• Responsible for A&P Defence adherence to AP(Pol)027 Collaborative Working Relationship Policy.

• Support A&P Group HSEQ policy and ensure that personnel working within the bid teams are compliant.

• Experience providing briefs and/or effective communication to seniors, peers and subordinates

• Ability to show an understanding of the A&P Group

• Previous Bid/Capture management

• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office
