Busy Ferry Season at A&P Falmouth Sees Major Operators Return for Repairs.
It has been another busy ferry period at APCL A&P Falmouth, with the facility successfully delivering repair and maintenance work across a range of returning customers including Red Funnel, P&O Ferries, Irish Ferries, and Wightlink.
Red Funnel’s Red Falcon, Red Osprey, and Red Eagle all visited the facility, along with P&O’s Spirit of France, P&O Pioneer, Irish Ferries' Dublin Swift, and Wightlink’s St Faith and St Clare. The APCL A&P Falmouth team carried out a range of work scopes, including full hull wash and painting, covering both the underwater sections and topsides.
Steel repairs were also undertaken as well as comprehensive motor and engine overhauls and thruster inspections and overhauls. Tanks were opened and cleaned to allow for detailed inspections, and APCL A&P Falmouth provided support for the vessels’ annual certification processes.
